Para los que no conozcáis Etsy, es una plataforma donde millones de personas de todo el mundo se conectan, en línea y localmente, para comprar y vender productos únicos. Coderque Jewels forma parte de esta comunidad global artesana desde 2010 y allí podéis también encontrar las piezas que diseña y fabrica Marta.

Puedes encontrar, por ejemplo, este fabuloso collar. El collar Starnight. fabricado a mano en plata de ley y montado en una cinta de seda natural. Es el tipo de joya que define tu estilo.


For those of you who don't know Etsy, it's a global creative commerce platform where millions of people around the world connect, both online and offline, to make, sell and buy unique goods. Coderque Jewels is part of this artisan global community since 2010 and there you can also find the jewelry pieces that Marta designs and make.

You can find, for example, this fabulous necklace. The Starnight necklace handcrafted in solid sterling silver and mounted on a natural silk ribbon is the kind of jewel that defines a style.

Ya sabéis que en Coderque Jewels tenemos colecciones de joyas muy molonas e intentamos enseñaros todas la piezas que salen de nuestro taller. Y hoy os enseñamos una muy especial, una pieza única espectacular; el collar Pangea.

You already know that at Coderque Jewels we have super rad jewelry collections and we always try to show you all the pieces that comes out from our workshop. Today we want to show you a very special jewel, a fantastic one-of-a-kind piece, the Pangea necklace.

Está compuesto por tres piezas de cobre patinado y 4 cabuchones redondos de hemimorfita sobre una estructura de plata elaborada a la medida de las piezas para que ajuste a la perfección. El collar va unido con cuatro cordones de caucho suave para que asiente cómodamente sobre el cuello y se abrocha con un cierre de plata de ley .

It's made up of three pieces of cooper with patina and four cabochons of hemimorphite on a bespoke silver structure made to perfectly fit each of the pieces. The necklace has 4 threads of soft rubber so it sits comfotably on the neck and a sterling silver closure system.

Broche Si- If brooch

Hoy te queremos enseñar una pieza muy especial. Es un diseño a medida, con mucho significado tanto para quien lo regala como para quien recibe el regalo. La idea giraba en torno al poema de Rudyard Kipling “If”, que en inglés significa “si”. (Si no lo conocéis podéis leerlo en este mismo post.)

Today we want to show you a very special jewel. It is a custom design, very meaningful both for the person who give it as a gift and for the person who receive it. The design was built around the poem “If” by Rudyard Kipling. (If you don’t know it, you can read it in this same post.)

Comentando ideas de diseño con nuestra clienta, surgió el hacer algo muy directo y muy visual; modelar directamente la palabra, como si estuviera escrito a mano.  Lo realizamos en plata patinada y en el punto de la “i” engastamos un zafiro estrella (una piedra también especial, pronto os enseñaremos más piezas con estas piedras).

Discussing design ideas with our client, we came up with making something very straight forward and visual; just the word, as it if was handwritten. We shaped the brooch in silver with a patina and for the dot over the “i” we used a star sapphire (also a special gemstone, soon we will show you more pieces with this gemstones).


“Si” hace que se abran ante ti muchas posibilidades, de realizarte a ti mismo, de aprovechar la oportunidad de vivir como quieras vivir, y no desperdiciar las ocasiones de ser feliz.

“If” opens up a whole range of possibilities, to fulfill yourself, to seize the opportunity of living like you would like to live, and not to miss the chances of being happy.

Si…
Si puedes mantener la cabeza en su sitio cuando todos a tu alrededor
la han perdido y te culpan a ti.
Si puedes seguir creyendo en ti mismo cuando todos dudan de ti,
pero también aceptas que tengan dudas.

En proceso, broche flor de plata – Work in progress, silver flower brooch

Hoy os enseño un poquito del trabajo que estamos haciendo con estos preciosos broches en nuestro taller.
Today I want to show you part of the work we are doing with these beautiful brooches at our workshop.

Con una técnica desarrollada por Marta Coderque, se da la forma de flor al metal, con poco peso, mucho volumen y bonitas curvas.
With a new technique developed by Marta Coderque, the flowers are given their distinctive shape, light, with a lot of volume and beautiful curves.

Para este broche en concreto hemos elegido un cuarzo con rutilos rojos (¡Ya sabéis lo que nos gustan las piedras con inclusiones! Son algo tan especial…)

For this particular brooch we have chosen a quartz with red rutiles (you know how much we like gemstones with inclusions! They are so special…)

Cada piedra es diferente, por lo que cada pieza se hace a la medida para esta joya tan impresionante.

Each gemstone is different, therefore, each piece is made to measure for this amazing jewel.

Y poco a poco el broche va cogiendo forma.

And bit by bit, the brooch begins to look like the real thing.

Este broche va a llevar solo una pieza de flor, pero se pueden montar varias de diferentes tamaños para conseguir piezas más llamativas. Va en el gusto de cada uno.

This brooch will have just one flower piece, but several can be combined in different sizes to obtain more spectacular pieces. It is just a matter of taste.
